Boston's Neighborhoods

The City of Boston is comprised of 27 neighborhoods and 17 Planning Districts, as defined by the Boston Redevelopment Authority, each with a unique history and identity.  Below are statistical profiles of each neighborhood and district from the 2010 Census.

Additionally, there are numerous indicators from across our ten sectors that paint the picture of each neighborhood, its needs and its assets.  For those, see our Boston Neighborhoods Cross Cut Topic page.
